Big, Hairy, Audacious Education Partnership rallies next week
To help you promote next week’s education rallies, we have produced a short, low-budget video to use on Sunday (if you can still fit it in). View and download it at vimeo.com/GreatPlainsUMC/KansasEducation.
The short video features Bishop Scott Jones making a case for partnering with your local school. The video is specifically targeted at Kansas. Nebraska-specific materials will be coming soon.
If you can’t make an actual rally, please know that you can participate on July 31, at 7 p.m., via webcast. The webcast will be available at GreatPlainsUMC.org/livestream. We will have a test stream available from 2:30-3 p.m. on Thursday, July 31, to check equipment. If you plan to a have a viewing group at your church, you will want to be sure your local internet connection can handle the bandwidth.
The rallies in Kansas each have Facebook event pages to make it easy to invite friends and share the information. The rallies in Nebraska will have event pages soon.

The rallies in Kansas are located in Garden City, Iola, and Topeka. Congregations near the Wichita area are encouraged to bring a team to attend a live streaming event on July 31st at First UMC in Wichita. Registration begins at 6:30 p.m. followed by the live streaming presentation at 7 p.m., and then small group discussion and refreshments. The event will conclude around 8:30 p.m.
